Great for some but not everyone
My husband loves it ( sleeps like a log, gets away wiyh much less sleep) but I get the opposite effect: my heart starts beating and I’m very awake worked up. Apparently, this is due to my wired body suddenly relaxing too much, which produces ‘an alert’ in my body. So, if you are a very sensitive woman with adrenal issues using a more gentle, sustained delivery ( eg a patch) may be a better option.

This product not only did not promote sleep, it caused me to wake up in the middle of the night with diarrhea. Note that this product is not returnable.

These are easy to add to a nighttime routine because they’re just capsules, no syrupy taste or anything. The bottle is straightforward, and the capsules are a reasonable size to swallow. I like that it combines magnesium and L-theanine in one product instead of juggling multiple bottles. If you are sensitive to supplements, definitely start slow and follow the label directions.

Helps me wind down without feeling groggy
I struggle to quiet my thoughts at night so I decided to try ZzzQuil Pure Zzzs with magnesium and L Theanine. The mix of different magnesium types caught my attention because I wanted something that could help both mentally and physically. I was not looking for something that would knock me out completely. I just wanted help easing into sleep more smoothly. It delivered on that.Most nights I fall asleep noticeably faster than usual. Instead of tossing for what feels like forever I start drifting off within a reasonable amount of time. I also appreciate that I do not wake up in a fog. The effect is gentle and natural. On evenings after working out I felt like my muscles settled down more easily too.It is not flawless. On particularly stressful nights I did not always feel the same level of relaxation. I also learned that timing matters. If I take it right after a heavy meal the effect is weaker. Once or twice I noticed a slight stomach grumble which may be from the magnesium blend. The capsules are on the larger side so anyone who dislikes swallowing pills might want to know that upfront.Even with the small quirks I consider it a win. It suits people who need a steady nudge toward rest not a heavy sedative. For me taking it about an hour before bed on a lighter stomach gives the best results.I plan to keep using it and will update if anything changes. For now I am waking up more refreshed and that is exactly what I hoped for!
